Committee Meeting Report - December, 2010

1 Lilydale Show: David Oaten and Graeme Peers did a great job, and spent two long days at the show.

2 Volunteers for subcommittees have been received. Thank you!
Jacey Muscatello Production & Marketing
Frankie Van - Fundraising & Marketing
Ray Chapman - Production
Camilla J - Sponsorship, Production, OBs, Marketing, Fundraising & Website
Nadine Cloonan - Fundraising

3 Locks: We are investigating an electronic keycard entry system. The advantages are that if someone loses their card the entry code can be changed at no cost, instead of changing the lock and having new keys cut for everyone, as must be done now. The entry code can also be changed at intervals to increase security.

4 Shire Show to happen once a month, in Khushi's last hour. The other three weeks to be "Deadly Sounds".

5 Members meeting, training for presenters and new presenters: On 4th Feb 2011 we plan a members meeting, during which the new trainees will be introduced. Their training will begin on 11th Feb. All presenters are welcome to attend the training to contribute their experience, and as a refresher.

6 Chairs for our foyer have been put aside in a warehouse by Tony Green Architects. Tony Green will arrange delivery next time he goes to warehouse

7 Treasurer's Report; Technician's Report
Bank reconciliations done successfully.
July - Nov income $21,000; expenditure $20,000 in round numbers.
Memory sticks have been made for all committee members and handed out. This allows committee members to work at home and at the studio equally easily, using legal software at all times.
The office computer has been replaced with the ex-studio PC. All unnecessary software has been removed.

8 We've decided to subscribe to "Our Grants" newsletter, and ask one of the volunteers to search through for relevant grants.

9 Rob Williams has volunteered to repaint some (or all) of the station, beginning at the back. Thank you Rob!

10 Programme Guides - $365 + GST for 500 programme guides. We agreed to have 500 guides printed and give some to each presenter to distribute to local businesses. There is a space for the businesses to stamp their name on the guide. Update: the guides have been printed, and are available in the foyer. Expect more action after the Christmas break.

11 We agreed to review the procedures for Outside Broadcasts, to see if there are any opportunities for improvements in the way YVFM organises and conducts OBs.
