What is Sponsorship
Yarra Valley FM 99.1 can not run "commercials" because it is a licensed community broadcaster. Therefore, to earn revenue to cover our operating expenses, we offer "sponsorships" to local businesses announcing the goods and services that they provide. We are limited by legislation to a maximum of 5 minutes of sponsorship announcements per hour.

Community radio sponsorship is one of the most cost-effective promotional tools you can employ. For example, it can cost as little as $3 per 30 second announcement which will be broadcast to a target audience in excess of 300,000 people.

As a community broadcaster, Yarra Valley FM 99.1 attracts a wide audience who have a strong interest in their local community, including the Shire of Yarra Ranges, many local businesses & community organisations and individuals. So, in addition to promoting your local goods and services, sponsorship also supports a vital information service to the Yarra Valley and beyond.

Sponsorship announcements typically run for 30 to 60 seconds, and will be played at 10 to 15 minute intervals.

Costs vary, depending on duration, length and production requirements. Speak with Robyn to receive an immediate quote. Here's a few things to consider:

Sponsorship announcements are spread over a variety of programs throughout the day, ensuring you reach the broadest range of listeners;
You can subscribe to a "basic sponsorship" package of 100 spots of 30 seconds, or design your own specific campaign; and
You can produce your own announcements, or let us do all the work.
